Last time I hang out at dockside bars.....

That is now my number one favorite I line I've said while doing improv.

#2 is, of course, "HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI!!!!"

well, lets see, now that I have been getting into Hannibal's background in the play, i have come across something: I have absolutely no idea for why Hannibal belongs with the Cloisters.

I mean honestly, he doesn't really have all that much crazy as the rest of the people do.

Jeff: Doesn't recognize his wife and feels like he is disfigured after his entire crew is killed in the war.

Florence: her child dies young, and she thinks the child is still alive.

Fairy: compulsive liar and ever-exaggerator. (not as bad, but I imagine it would be hard too keep a job like that)

Hannibal: sucks at playing violin but doesn't know it.

seriously, that's it. My hypothesis: he cracked up (temporarily) while working for the government and was placed there by his employers till he snapped out of it. Realizing he could be covered for expenses for life, he decided to stick around. Plus, Fairy is there, so...... yeah.

Hmm.... I just did something constructive (relatively) with my time.

If I can, I'll try and get some audio of one of my monologues up here.

I'll just need a mic first...

Dramatic interpretation possibility......

Hola, haven't updated in a bit, so I thought I would give you something to do.

Here is a clip from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead that I think is just awesome.

Enjoy

My gift is my song.... too bad I don't sing much.

What is going on people? having fun? enjoying yourself? sittin' around, eating cheetos and pacifying your appetite for life with reality television so you don't have to face your own depressing existence that revolves around snack food and apathy? Yeah? well thats cool. I mean, whatever floats your boat.

I find that the more I think about things, the more I find I hate things.

I think only stupid people have good relationships.

You know, looking around, trying to find monologues for college auditions, I find I have a bit of flair for the theatrical. I also gravitate towards certain plays and characters. Mainly ones in which nothing is accomplished and everthing ends in melancholy. eh.... "play what you know" I suppose.

As for the current one-act play we are doing now? I'm not a fan. Nothing truly of mention happens as a result of the end. the characters are all back in their respective places at the end of it. The Savages remain well-to-do, the cloisters remain cloistered, the staff remains as the staff.

After reading other plays, I don't want a frivolous, "feel-good" play. I want something that will inspire, that will anger the masses, make people think.

alright, I'm done. that is enough for right now.

incoherent ramblings from a surprisingly intelligent-yet-increasingly-isolated-and-paranoid man.

Huh, so thats whats wrong with me.... makes sense now.

Doctor: (thumbing through file) alright Mr....

Me: Gossett.

Doctor: oh yes, well we have your tests in and.....

Me: What?  What does it say?! I NEED TO KNOW!!

Doctor: I don't know how to say this, but. I'm afraid you have no game.

Me: ....... no what?

Doctor: Game. relationship skills. Anything of that sort. You can't flirt, you can't pick up on subtle hints from the opposite sex, nothing.

Me: B-But, the girls, they like me, they think I'm hilarious.

Doctor: They also think your harmless. You have known them too long. They think of you exclusively as a good friend and don't think that you are seriously attracted to them.

Me: So.... it is impossible to be a friend with a girl and also try to date them?

Doctor: Well, not exactly, but it does make it exponentially more difficult.

Me: so all this time, its just been because of-

Doctor: Trust me, thats not your only problem. You're also a blubbering puss about letting your feelings be known. Staring longingly from afar quiet as the grave does not a conversation starter make.

Thats as far as I've gotten so far. Though there is not much left to tell. At this point there is but one option left for me.

I have to become an unrepentent dick.

A guy with absolutely no regard for those that like him. Have a vain obsession with myself.

You think I am blowing this out of proportion. That there are not guys like that. We all know thats a lie, now don't we?

Oh well, No good deed goes unpunished, as they say.

Later.
